Bonk!
Knock on your MacBook.
Make it do things.
A free, open-source menu bar app that turns physical knocks on your laptop into any action you choose — play / pause, lock screen, keyboard shortcuts, shell commands, Shortcuts. It reads the accelerometer already inside every Apple Silicon MacBook. 100% local. No analytics, ever.
First launch: right-click Bonk.app → Open. Or run
xattr -cr /Applications/Bonk.app
Any knock, any action
Nothing is fixed. Bind a single, double, or triple knock to whatever you want — a keyboard shortcut, an app, a shell command, a Shortcut — and remap it anytime. Different mappings per app, too.
Knows when you're typing
Keystrokes mute detection for 0.8 s, and a gravity-tracking baseline shrugs off tilts and desk wobble. Tune it on a live 100 Hz waveform, or knock 3× to auto-calibrate.
Made for AI coding
Bind any knock to ⏎ and accept Claude Code or Cursor suggestions by rapping the palm rest — without touching the keyboard.
